Committees

The committees shall act only as a committee, and the individual members thereof shall have no power of authority except as otherwise provided in the By-Laws. The chairperson of each committee may appoint from the members of such committee such subcommittees as he or she deems desirable. Such subcommittees shall report directly to the committee as a whole, which shall approve, amend or disapprove the report of the subcommittee. Committees shall act by the vote of the majority of the committee members.

Club Committees

By-Laws Review Committee

The Legal and By-Laws Committee shall be appointed by the Board of Governors on an as-needed basis, and shall be charged with the publication and interpretation of the General Club Rules and By-Laws of the Club and, generally, with all matters of a legal nature pertaining to the Club.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee shall investigate all applications for membership and shall make recommendations as to approval or disapproval of each application to the Board of Governors.

Greens Committee

The Greens Committee shall advise the Board of Governors on matters concerning the employment of a Greens Superintendent and the scope of the Greens Superintendent’s operations and maintenance of the golf courses, roads, facilities and equipment used in connection therewith.

Grounds Committee

The Grounds Committee shall advise on all matters concerning the construction, maintenance and repair of all buildings, both exterior and interior, roads, trees, lawn, gardens and shrubbery on the Club’s grounds, and supervision of all water and electrical lines and facilities and equipment used in connection therewith.

House & Entertainment Committee

The House and Entertainment Committee shall advise the Board of Governors on matters concerning the operations of the Sims Club, Fazio Club and related facilities and the equipment, furnishings and property therein, including without limitation, utilities, building maintenance and repairs. The Committee shall advise on all food and beverage operations, including the social activities and entertainment of members and their guests.
